Ripplevale Grove

Islington, London

2008

This four-storey Victorian terrace house in Islington, London, was turned back into a single dwelling from two separate flats. The project involved a complete strip out and a full width two-storey rear extension.  The client wanted to introduce luxury elements into the bathrooms and kitchen; therefore, opulent marble is used, injecting instant glamour. In the master bedroom, deep chestnut reds generate warmth while cupboards are all finished in a high–gloss polyester lacquer.

The entire remodelling of the house and extension, including garden, took a year to complete. Whilst contemporary and luxury in design, S&Y were careful to respect the design and age of the existing building and to finished it to the highest standard.
